Memorial to be held for Boulder cyclist killed last weekend

Boulder on Wednesday September 23, 2009. Najera was killed last Sunday
while riding his bike. Flynn was longtime friends of Najera and his
family.

The longtime owner of a Longmont auto body shop
who was killed over the weekend when his bicycle collided with a
vehicle on 28th Street will be memorialized Saturday at A Spice of Life
Event Center in Boulder.
The remembrance for Casey Najera, of
Boulder, is scheduled for 10 a.m. and is open to the public. A Spice of
Life Event Center is located at 5706 Arapahoe Ave.
Najera, 60,
died Sunday after he collided with a Toyota Corolla that turned in
front of him as he rode his bike southbound on 28th Street at Violet
Avenue, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The driver -- Karlin Bruegel, 25, of Lafayette -- was cited by police for careless driving resulting in death.
