Nicholas Abraham, son of the Bristol's former lord mayor
Peter Abraham, was hit by a car and killed on the A4, Portway.  The Western Daily Press and Clifton-People report that Nick was crazy about rock climbing and worked as an instructor at Undercover Rock at the Bristol Climbing Centre in St Werburgh's and also led groups on the Avon Gorge.

The ghostbike appeared this summer, shortly after what would have been Nick's 30th birthday, the 17th.  Nick's father called the tribute "very moving" and said, "It's nice that people are thinking of Nick and on another level I hope
it will be a timely reminder about how dangerous that part of the road
is."

The BBC has a short video on the memorial and ghostbikes in general here.
