Randy was killed by a hit and run driver.

From the LA Times

Orange County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a father of three.

Authorities say Randy Isaacs, 47, was riding his bike about 10 p.m.
Tuesday on Ridge Route Drive at Serrano Road in Lake Forest when he was
hit by an older, white van.

Paramedics rushed Isaacs to Mission Hospital in extremely critical condition with a skull fracture. He died a short time later.

Isaacs was the father of three children, ranging in age from 10 to 15.

"It's never good to lose a child, but it's worse at Christmas," his mother, Ute Ford, told KTLA. "He was just a very caring, wonderful person, and he didn't deserve to die like this."

Ford explained that Isaacs' children had been living with her and her
husband while he worked hard at his mortgage job to get back on his
feet financially.

"He was a great father to his three children," she said. "He made
sure that they were well taken care of, and he worked hard every day."

Isaacs' parents said he had just tucked his kids into bed at their house around 10 p.m.

He was hit and killed while he was riding his bike back to his own house.

The entire family is now asking the public to help bring the driver to justice.

"The best thing that could happen is whoever did this, and they know
who they are, should step forward," said Dale Ford, Isaacs' father.
"Also the children can find forgiveness for this person if they come
forward," Ute Ford added. "Everybody makes mistakes, we all do, but they
need closure."
