Emma was riding in the bike lane on Bedford, when a left-turning driver of Dykes Lumber truck did not yield to her and ran her over. She died instantly, may she rest in peace.

Her sister, Alyssa and friend Ari made a ghost bike for her and installed it on the corner where she died.
