A livery cab fatally hit Jerome, while he was riding his bike near on the corner of Van Siclen and Linden. He was pronouced dead at the scene.
His name wasn't mentioned in this news article, but we later heard from a relative who gave us Jerome's name and birthdate.
When we dedicated the ghost bike to Jerome in March 2011, many of his family members came to meet us and tell us about his life.
