Thirteen Unnamed Cyclists and Pedestrians killed in 2008
Sunday, January 4, 2009
Location:
2nd Avenue at East 10th St.
New York , NY 10003
United States
We know of 13 deaths of cyclists on NYC streets in 2008. At the end of the 4th Annual Memorial Ride and Walk, we dedicated a ghostbike at 2nd Avenue and east 10th Street for the fallen riders who's deaths never made the news.
At the same spot, we dedicated a plaque to the many pedestrians also killed on NYC streets in 2008.
Since then, this ghost bike and the signs were removed.
