According to NY Daily News:
A [driver of a] cement truck fatally struck a 65-year-old woman riding a bike through Hell’s Kitchen early Thursday, officials said.
The [driver of the] truck, which had a cement mixer attached, was turning off W. 55th
St. onto 12th Ave. when it struck the bicyclist about 6:45 a.m., cops
said.
Witnesses told police the victim was riding on the sidewalk before attempting to cross the avenue at the crosswalk.
The victim, who lives in Midtown, suffered massive injuries to her head and body and died at the scene.
According to DNA Info, the investigation of this fatal crash was ongoing and the driver was not charged nor ticketed.
