Daryl David Benefiel

Daryl David Benefiel was riding south on Ridge Park Road when he collided with a vehicle making a left hand turn from Tesoro about 5 p.m., said Newport Beach police Det. Bill Bennett.

Investigators were still at the scene of the
accident late Thursday near the corner of Ridge Park Road and Tesoro.
Driver Nathan Tsuchiya was not hurt.

Someone placed a ghost bike at that intersection to remember Daryl.
