Deb Miller

Deb was hit while riding on the shoulder of Hwy 51 when a pickup driver hit her head-on according to this article. The driver claimed that he was adjusting his glasses against sun glare. It was not reported if any charges were filed.

Deb's obituary reads:

Debra Sue Miller, 56, died on Aug. 15, 2010. Deb was born June 27, 1954,
in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Frank and Marie Schramm (Hurula). She
grew up near the town of Grandview, WI, where she graduated high school
in 1972. She served in the United States Army, where she recognized and
applied her passion for health services. In 1981, she graduated magna
cum laude from Texas Women's University in Denton, TX, with a bachelor's
degree in physical therapy. On March 7, 1987, she married Steven
Francis Miller in Carol Stream, IL. In 1989, she earned her Master of
Business Administration (MBA) from Keller Graduate School of Management.
In 1990, she was blessed with the birth of her son, Neil Thomas Miller.
Deb had many passions. These included her Christian faith, family,
health and fitness, the Boy Scouts and Stillwater Swimming.

A member
of Salem Lutheran Church, Deb served on the Church Council, led the
Campus Ministry and taught confirmation. She was also very active with
the "Moms in Touch" group, serving Stillwater's youth. As a physical
therapist, she served her patients at Total Health, Stillwater Medical
Center and Hands on Therapy. She enjoyed being a very active athlete,
daily either running and/or biking with her husband and friends.
Adventure was also in her blood, serving and camping with the Boy Scouts
of Troop 818 in Stillwater, OK, and Pack 48 of Palatine, IL. Some of
her most memorable outings included: Philmont 715-J1, Boundary Waters,
Tres Ritos, the Ouachita Trek and Will Rogers Summer Camp. She could
also be found running the clock at the YMCA during swim meets and the
Special Olympics. Deb was Steve's soul mate, the loving mother of Neil
Thomas Miller, as well as a friend to all who knew her. She will be
greatly missed.

Deb is survived by her husband, Steve; son, Neil; mother, Marie Martin; and three brothers: Jack, Timothy, and Thomas.

She was preceded by her father, Frank; and brother, Jeff.
