Konrad was run over by a truck travelling the same direction on Gardeners Road,
Alexandria. Konrad suffered critical
injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead at Royal Prince Alfred
Hospital.
The truck driver, a 53-year-old man from Chipping Norton, was uninjured. Police said no charges are expected to be laid.
Konrad was originally from Poland and was working at City Gym in Sydney at the time of his death.
Konrad's father wrote the following for his ghost bike
Człowiek umiera dopiero wtedy,
Kiedy się o nim zapomina.
A discussion group on Sydney Cyclists planned and installed his ghost bike.
