On a Wednesday evening,
Rigoberto Diaz was just one block from his home in Sunset Park when he
was riding his bike down 48th Street. He turned left onto 3rd Avenue
and was fatally struck by a car driver reports The New York Post .
According to DNAInfo , Diaz died of his injuries in soon after in the hospital. He lived just around the corner on 49th Street.
The driver who fatally struck him did not receive any charges according to StreetsBlog
