Monday morning when a 20-year-old BMW driver hit him while changing
lanes to get to the Highway 101 onramp. Meza, who was in the bike lane,
was not wearing a helmet. The white bikes are often set up as roadside
tributes after cycling fatalities to both honor the dead and remind
riders and motorists to share the road.

among several messages scrawled on the frame. Daniel Martinez Meza, 45,
was killed on the overpass Monday morning when a driver was changing

The 45-year-old was killed by a car while both were headed north on
