The 45-year-old Oxnard man was killed Monday morning when a 20-year-old BMW driver hit him while changing lanes to get to the Highway 101 onramp. Meza, who was in the bike lane, was not wearing a helmet. The white bikes are often set up as roadside tributes after cycling fatalities to both honor the dead and remind riders and motorists to share the road.
