From a memorial page dedicated to Bryce

Bryce Anthony Lewis was born on December 2nd, 1987 in Denver, Colorado. He was the oldest of four children. Bryce is survived by his mother Laura Paolicelli, his step-father Marc Paolicelli, his father Keith Lewis, his brother Tyler, who is two years younger, his sister Austyn, who is four years younger and by a brand new baby sister, Mia, who just turned one as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles and extended family.

Bryce was an artist and a musician. He admired, studied and created art on many levels including watercolor, sketch, sculpture, stencil and pointillism. Bryce’s works were beautiful and bizarre, using complex colors and shading with seemingly simple themes, which is a good way to describe the artist. He was promising to become a strong artist and worked on his pieces daily. He was also an accomplished musician who was proficient with electric and acoustic guitar, bass, flute, and violin, but his love was the drums. He admired many of the jazz greats and strived to master their techniques. Music genres ranged from classical, jazz, Scandinavian death rock and everything in between. He was very eclectic and had a sensitive ear. He composed many original pieces, including part of a movie score as well as original music for his post-apoptolyctic heavy metal band “Galacticon AD 2525” which consistently played gigs in the Denver area.

Bryce was also a huge bike enthusiast and preferred this mode of transportation above all else. He loved the freedom biking allowed and even worked in a bike shop during high-school.

He dreamed of a place that would allow him to explore and express all of his interests. For him, Seattle was the Mecca of all that was inspiring. He instantly fell in love with the city and its’ people. Bryce was anxious to start this new adventure and saved nearly $6,000. He was excited about the possibilities, found an apartment with his brother and best friends and planned on attending Seattle Central Community College in January. Bryce had lived in the city for just over three weeks before he was struck and killed by a dump truck.

Bryce will be eternally in our hearts and we will miss him every day until we see him again. He left a small piece of himself with everyone he met. His passion for life was unparalleled. He was 19 years old
